William Marvin Neher
William "Bill" Neher, age 78, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, at his home in Kokomo. He was born in Logansport, Indiana, on Aug. 13, 1941, to the late Marvin and Gertrude (Morock) Neher.
Bill graduated from Kokomo High School, and then enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable service to his country, Bill spent some time working for the Tipton County Sheriff's Office. He then began helping out with a friend's insurance company, and soon established his own insurance company, which he ran for over 40 years.
Bill was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kokomo. He was also very active with the Republican Party, and the Kokomo Noon Kiwanis Club, where he served a few years as president. Bill had a passion for sports, and toured the country to watch baseball and football games at different stadiums. He also sponsored a Little League baseball team in Kokomo, and was a booster for the Kokomo Wildkats athletic department.
Bill is survived by his children, Tanya Hoke-Wallace (husband, Mike), Mark Neher, Kristen Tippens (husband, Chris), and Adam Neher (wife, Heidi); former wives, Mary Kay Martin, Becky, Kathleen Stone, and Dara Kinney; brother, Mike Neher; sister, Rita Dunn; and grandchildren, Tyler, Lauren, Matthew, Shelby, Medeski, Marvin, and Magnolia.
Per Bill's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

I am so sorry for you loss! It will be hard knowing that Bill will not be there to tease when I go to Kokomo. We would always tell each other stories Bill (IU) and me (PURDUE.) I will miss Bill very much.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bill Neher. I had a chance to work with and get to know a lot of sports boosters and fans over the years, none were any finer than Bill. He was such a class act and always had a great attitude. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.
