William Stanley Moore, 71, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018, at his residence. Born Oct. 17, 1946, in Tipton County, he was the son of the late Fred W. Moore and Benzie M. (Johnson) Moore.

He was a veteran of the U.S Army, serving during the Vietnam War. On June 7, 1975, in Kokomo, he married Joyce Ann (Fye), who survives. He lived and worked in appliance repair during the months from October to April in Florida; the rest of the year he was a resident of Kokomo and owned and operated rental properties. He loved playing golf, riding his motorcycle, going to the lake house in Rochester, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Joyce Ann Moore, of Kokomo; one son, Tod Andrew (Jennifer) Moore, of Kokomo; one daughter, Amber Michelle Moore, of Kokomo; one brother, Alva F. (Carolyn Sue) Moore, of Oakford; one sister, Reba M. Bledsoe, of Kokomo; three grandchildren, Cameron Michael Barber, Madison Drew Moore, and Destiny Alexis Moore; also his faithful four-legged companion, Lilly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Steven Sherwood will officiate. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial of cremains with military rites by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will take place at a later date in Sharpsville Cemetery, Sharpsville, Indiana.
