Kokomo, Indiana - In Loving Memory of Shareen McClish

October 16, 1939 - June 30, 2026

Shareen McClish, 86, entered the presence of her Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana, surrounded by her loved ones. Though our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing that the faith she cherished throughout her life has now become sight.

Born on October 16, 1939, to Maxwell and Florence (Roush) Samuelson, Shareen lived a life defined by steadfast faith, quiet humility, and unwavering love for her family. On November 10, 1956, she married the love of her life, Richard James McClish, and together they built a home centered on faith, family, and compassion.

For more than thirty years, Shareen enjoyed a successful career as a Realtor, but those who knew her best recognized that her greatest accomplishments were found in the relationships she built, the kindness she shared, and the lives she quietly touched.

A devoted member of Bible Baptist Church, Shareen faithfully served in the music ministry and Sunday School. Her relationship with Jesus was not simply something she professed, it shaped the way she lived.

Nothing brought Shareen greater joy than her family. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Rockey McClish and Ryan (Vanessa) McClish; her grandchildren, Rockey McClish II, Kyle (Elana) McClish, and Chris (Tabitha) McClish; her cherished great-grandchildren, Jannaleigh, Paisleigh, Kinley, Elloise, Kendall, and Colbie; her brother, Walter "Jr." (Miki) Rodman; her sister, Patty Drayton; nieces Lisa Burthay and Kim; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard James McClish; her parents, Maxwell and Florence (Roush) Samuelson; her sisters, Rita Ellington and Barbara Jackson; her daughter-in-law, Barbara McClish; her granddaughter, Rebecca Jorgenson; and her great-grandson, Anthony Jorgenson.

To know Shareen was to experience kindness in its simplest and most genuine form. Through thoughtful gifts, quiet prayers, gentle encouragement, and her calming presence, she made others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo. A Celebration of Shareen's Life will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial beside her beloved husband at Albright Cemetery.

Though our hearts will miss her deeply, the love Shareen so freely gave does not end here. It lives on in those she taught to love generously, serve quietly, and trust God faithfully.
