Russiaville - Roselyn J. Lewis, 91, 1991 S. 750 West, Russiaville, IN, died at 6:44 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Aster Place in Lafayette, Indiana.

Born on June 12, 1935 in Randolph County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Preston and Ruth (Thurston) Jennings. On April 28, 1962, in California, she married Lloyd H. Lewis.

She graduated from Lynn High School in 1953, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1957. While studying in Bloomington, she began her 50-year banking career, later working in banks in Chicago, Los Angeles and Kokomo. She retired from Harris Bank in Kokomo as Vice President and Trust Officer. She was a longtime member of Northview Christian Church and served many years as both an elder and the church treasurer.

Surviving are her five children, Harry P. Lewis of Kokomo, Lloyd "Marty" Lewis (Brenda) of Ft. Ashby, West Virginia, Leslie R. Lewis of Kokomo, Samuel J. Lewis (Erin Nemeth) of Russiaville, and Matthew D. Lewis (Joanna) of Lafayette. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren: Drake Evans, Nathan (Emily) Lewis, Braxton Lewis, Lisa Lewis, Micah Lewis, Jonathan Lewis, Brian Settles, Quenton Lewis, Riley Lewis, Francis Nemeth, Vada Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Jeremiah Lewis, Josiah Lewis and John Lewis.

Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; her brothers, Douglas and Donald Jennings; and two infant grandchildren, Joshua and Mary Grace Lewis.

Visitation will take place at Stout Funeral Home in Russiaville from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., with burial afterward at New London Friends Cemetery.
