Kokomo - Deacon Robert E. Thompson was born on Jan. 8, 1945, to Elex R. Thompson and Evelyn (Echols) Thompson. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1963. After high school he joined the National Guard and served for eight years.
He was employed at Delco/Delphi Electronics for 44 years as a journeyman millwright in skilled trades. On Feb. 17, 1968, he married Willie Ann Beard. They have two daughters, Crystal and Candace Thompson.
His parents, Elex and Evelyn Thompson; daughter, Candace Thompson; sisters, Betty (Wade) Thompson, Elizabeth Ann (Carrington) Thompson, Linda (Thompson) Finley preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Willie Ann; daughter, Crystal Thompson; brother, Samuel (Lisa) Thompson; along with a host of family, friends and godchildren.
