Renay Antanesha Lashay Jenkins, age 10, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018. Renay was born Dec. 12, 2007, to Antoinette Natasha Jenkins and Ar Razzaaq Rashid Bey.

Renay had attended Sycamore Elementary since kindergarten. She loved to sing to all kinds of music and loved to read all books, consistently staying on the honor roll and was also in the KEY program at school. She was such an intelligent young girl and was very sweet to all her friends and family.

Renay loved to dance, especially to her music apps. They allowed her to express her creativity and personality. Renay is going to be forever missed. She was such a loving girl, who gave so much to her family. She will be missed dearly by all of her friends and family.

Renay is survived by her mom and dad; sisters, Antrinique, Follesha, Alexis, Aleah, Taraji, Ziyah and Ayanna; brothers, Saxon, Dajuan, Chance, Cincere, Ci'ere, Reginald, Reyshon and Rakhi; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Renay's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Jack Woodard officiating. Friends and family can gather from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Chapel. Burial will follow Saturday's service at Albright Cemetery.
