Phyllis Joan Davidson Obituary

Kokomo, IN. - Phyllis Joan (Spicer) Davidson went to be with Jesus, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025.

Born Nov. 5, 1929, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Adrian and Edna Mae (Tibbets) Spicer. She married Anderson Clifford "Cliff" Davidson, who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Kokomo High school. She worked many places, but retired after 30 years from GM/DELCO. Joan was a devout Christian and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ on Courtland Avenue in Kokomo, Indiana. Joan greatly enjoyed reading her Bible and studying the word of God. It seems she never met a stranger and enjoyed having conversations with anyone. She was a prayer warrior and we all greatly benefited from her constant prayer.

She is survived by sons, Anderson Clifford (Shirley) Davidson Jr., Greenwood, Indiana, John Robert (Kathy) Davidson, Kokomo, Indiana, and George Lamar Davidson, Kokomo, Indiana; also, two granddaughters, Heather (Mark) Fryman, Cicero, Indiana, and Hillary (Jake) Premis, Chico, California. Grandma Davidson also was blessed by six great-grandchildren, Silas Fryman, Arlo Fryman and Harvey Fryman, Cicero, Indiana, Caleb Premis, Carter Premis and Raeya Premis, Chico, California.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and husband; as well as sisters, Reathel Spicer and Annabelle Keith; and brothers, John Spicer and Richard Spicer.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, at 2 p.m. Kevin Kay from the Church of Christ will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ on Courtland Avenue in Kokomo. Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory have been entrusted with services.

Mom (Grandma Davidson), we're gonna miss your wonderful smile and laughter.

Joan Davidson, well done, God's faithful servant.
