Kokomo - Nicole Lynn Rockey, 79, of Sharpsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her home.

She was born on March 1, 1947, the daughter of Dennis and Jean (Stults) Pritz. On Aug. 8, 1970, she married Clinton Lewis Rockey, and he survives.

Nicole was a 1965 graduate of Logansport High School, and received a master's in education from Indiana University. She taught third grade at Indian Heights Elementary school for 30 years, and retired in 2002. Nicole loved her family and her grandchildren. She attended Abundant Life Church online service, and was a believer in Jesus Christ.

Nicole is survived by her husband; son, Chris (Brooke) Rockey; and grandchildren, Nadia Rockey and Hudson Rockey.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service celebrating Nicole's life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Branstutter officiating. Burial in Crown Point Cemetery will follow.
