Marilyn Fay Hughes, 88, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away June 19, 2024, at her home.
She was born on April 12, 1936, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Charles W. and Deloris Faucett (Welch). In 1954, she married Cecil Hughes, who preceded her in death in 2012.
Marilyn graduated from Kokomo High School. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved gardening and her pet cats. Marilyn was a NASCAR fan.
Surviving relatives include four sons, Michael Hughes (Gloria) of Cordele, Georgia, Timothy Hughes of Kokomo, Indiana. David Hughes (Sheila) of Kokomo, Indiana, Rich Hughes (Sandy) of Kokomo, Indiana; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Miller of Kokomo, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Allen and Donald Hughes; sister, Judy Wilson; and brother, Dave Faucett.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at Ellers Mortuary. Funeral services 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, IN 46901. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery, Kokomo, Indiana. Share a memory with the family at www.ellersmortuary.com.
