Linda Marie (Roush) Hunt, 86, passed away on Aug. 15, 2018, at her home. Linda was born to Elmer and Lucy (Vincent) Roush on Feb. 21, 1932, in Marion, Indiana. She married her husband of 64 years, Clifford Hunt, on June 19, 1954, at Main Street Christian Church in Kokomo, and he survives.

Linda was a 1950 graduate of Kokomo High School, then went on to complete two years at Indiana University. She worked in the public service office in Kokomo, then accompanied her husband into the Air Force in Mississippi in 1955. When they returned in 1957, Linda worked as the bookkeeper for the family business that her father owned, Hi Grade Cleaners in Kokomo. Later, Linda would be a housewife and mother to her three children. She was a fabulous cook and was well-known for her homemade pies. Linda supported her children in their various endeavors while they were in school. She was talented at sewing, crocheting and knitting. She worked in home ec with her daughter. She served as den mother for her sons' Scout troops. Linda was a 70-year member of First Christian Church, formerly Main Street Christian Church, in Kokomo. She taught Sunday school for six years there.

Linda is survived by her husband, Clifford Hunt; her children, Randall (Peggy) Hunt, of Michigan, Dennis (Lynn) Hunt, of Florida, and Pamala Richard, of Kokomo; eight grandchildren, Scott (Tiffany), Amy, and Eric (Jenni) Hunt, of Michigan, Deanna, Danny and Donavon Hunt, of Florida, Katie (Colton) Frew and Austin Richard, of Kokomo; and three great-grandchildren, Zander Hunt and Eddie Hunt, both of Michigan, and Evelyn Hunt, of Texas.

Linda was preceded in passing by her parents and her sister, Marjorie A. Roush.

Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Kokomo Memorial Park, with Pastor Lanny Lawler officiating.
