Kent Alan Booher
Kent Alan Booher, 57, Kokomo, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2019. He was born Oct. 17, 1961, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Clyde Arthur and Ida Jean (Churchill) Booher.
Kent was a graduate of Eisenhower High School. He served with the United States Air Force 1983 to 1992, earning the rank of staff sergeant. Kent was founder and president of K.B. Backflow Inc. He was very involved with Kokomo Alcoholics Anonymous and had coached Northwestern's volleyball team for several years. Kent enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Kent is survived by his mother, Jean Booher; children, Margaret (Matthew) Holtman, Emily Booher, Kamryn Booher, and Gabriel Booher; grandchildren, Isaac Holtman and Eleanor Holtman; siblings, Julie (Rick) Hettinger, Craig (Jill) Booher, and Lydia (Kevin) Spain, along with several nieces and nephews.
Kent was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Arthur Booher, and a nephew.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Paul Weaver officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his children, with checks made out to National Financial Services, with Kamyrn and Gabriel in the memo line.
