Junior Dale Burton
Junior Dale Burton, 96, of Kempton, passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Waterford Place in Kokomo. He was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Tipton County, to Roy S. and Mary Mabel (Scott) Burton. On Dec. 28, 1948, he married Cora Elizabeth Crail at Liberty Baptist Church in Tipton County, and she survives.
Dale graduated from Prairie High School in 1941 and attended Montana State College. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, from 1943 to 1945. He retired from Chrysler after 27 years of service and also farmed all of his life. He was a member of VFW Post 1152, UAW Local 685, Russiaville Order of the Eastern Star, Tipton Austin Lodge F & AM, and was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church. Dale enjoyed using his computer and was a huge history buff.
In addition to his wife of 71 years, C. Elizabeth Burton, he is survived by his sons, Jerry Lee Burton, of Kokomo, Joseph Scott Burton, of Mason, Ohio, and Matthew Lynn (Starr) Burton, of Kokomo; grandchildren, Sonja Burton, Carter Burton, Spenser Burton, Austin (Summer) Burton and Brittnee (Aaron) Smith; and great-grandchildren, Foster, Grayton, Beckett, Levi, Luke and two more expected next year.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger Dale Burton; and grandchildren, Kami Burton and Lisha (Burton) Young.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Jeff Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with Masonic and Eastern Star services to begin at 7 p.m.

Elizabeth and family sorry to here about Dale.
Also sorry we didn't make it over to here more about Germany and WWII. You had just said "Don't to wait too long!" Well I guess this is just another lesson that you shouldn't ever put things off when it comes to anything dealing with life.

Liz I'am just heart broken ,the two of you were just so full of life always , with the reunions and love you have shown me over the years. I hope and pray that you take care of yourself just as you did Dale and all of us. You will always be in my prayers , May God bless you and your family.
