Joseph Anthony Marchese
Joseph Anthony Marchese, 92, Kokomo, passed away at 4 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Golden Living Center, Kokomo. He was born April 13, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Carlo and Mary (Restivo) Marchese. On June 19, 1981, he married Amy Walker, who survives.
Joseph was a graduate of Lincoln High School and had attended Marquette University. He served with the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. Joseph retired from Delco Electronics and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Along with his wife, Amy, Joseph is survived by his children, Dawn (Kent) Wilson, Debbie (Chris) Appelhans, Kelly (Steve) Nagy, and Robert (Julie) Marchese; grandchildren, Chelsea, Ciera, Leah, Kristina, Natalie, Brad, Nick, and Molly; and siblings, Bastiano Marchese, Vito Marchese, Tony Marchese, and Mary Jane Rath.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carlo Marchese; and granddaughter, Karie Marchese-Wong.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington St., with the Rev. Father Brian Dudzinski the celebrant. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit with the family 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
