Jerry 'Grandpa' McMillin
Jerry "Grandpa" McMillin, 82, Kokomo, passed away Nov. 11, 2019. He was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Roy and Carrie McMillin.
Jerry is survived by son, Terry McMillin; daughter, Teresa McMillin; grandchildren, Chris Fletcher, Tony Steward, Jonathan Steward, T.J. McMillin, Cody McMillin and his "right hand man," Eric (Alex) McMillin; sister, Patsy Moon; numerous great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Dave Langley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Alma McMillin; daughter, Sherrie Langley; grandchild, Eric Fletcher; brother, Robert McMillin; and sister, Betty McMillin.
Jerry served his country with honor in the United States Air Force for eight years. He retired from Sears after 32 years. Jerry was raised on a Sioux Indian reservation, graduating high school from Lake Andes, South Dakota. He worked constantly his entire life, would visit Hunts Salvage and Breakfast House daily. He took great pleasure owning and operating Grandpa's Scooter Parts with his grandson, Eric (Alex) McMillin.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street, with a funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at the mortuary.
