Gregory Kent Duncan
Gregory Kent Duncan, 66, Sharpsville, Indiana, left this earthly plane Nov. 10, 2018, of complications with several medical issues.
Born April 28, 1952, Greg was the son of Walter and Wilma (Fecher) Duncan, who preceded him in death. Greg was also preceded in death by two biological brothers.
Survivors include many cousins, biological sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, and friends, all of whom are too numerous to list, but were all loved dearly by Greg.
Anyone who knew Greg knew of his exceptional talents on the piano. He was also very gifted in woodworking, a hobby he picked up from his dad. Greg loved working in the "shop" where he as closest to his dad.
Greg was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving onboard aircraft carriers during the Vietnam era. Greg was a musician during his service in the Navy. Having many jobs and residences once he left the Navy, he finally settled again on his homestead in Sharpsville. Greg took early retirement from Chrysler Corp.
Every Saturday night, his music and crazy jokes could be heard at the Atlanta Music Hall in Atlanta, Indiana. He loved the music, and he loved the bond he had with the band he had been playing with for 30 years. All who knew Greg will miss his wit, his laughter, his kindness and his love. Most of all, we will all miss the music.
Memorial services will be 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 13, 2019, at Dolles Park Shelter House, 130 W. Walton St., Atlanta, Indiana.
