March 22, 1948 - Nov. 10, 2010. Gerald W. "Gary" Sanders, 62, Russiaville, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, in the St. Joseph Hospital emergency room. He was born March 22, 1948, in Kokomo, to Roy G. "Red" and Imogene V. (Gillem) Sanders. He married Frances L. (Biddle) on Nov. 20, 1971, at Union Baptist Church and she survives.. He graduated from Clinton Central High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam from 1967 to 1970 and in the Navy Reserves in 1971 and 1972. He retired from Chrysler Corp. Waste Treatment Dept. 4390 in 2005 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and UAW Local 685. He enjoyed work, horses and farming.. He is survived by his wife, Frances Sanders; mother, Imogene Sanders, Forest; one son, Roy G. Sanders and fiancée Tara Cassanda, Russiaville; two brothers, Allen Sanders and wife Brenda, Russiaville, and Marty Sanders and wife Marlene, Frankfort; four brothers- and sisters-in-law; 13 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and three grandchildren, Hannah Sanders, J J Sanders and Ray-Leigh Sanders.. He was preceded in death by his father.. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Stout and Son Funeral Home Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Chris Tapjkes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery near Forest with military rites performed by the Kokomo Military Rites Team. Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home..
