Elizabeth Lucille Jones
Elizabeth Lucille Jones, 93, Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, from North Woods Village, Kokomo. Born April 4, 1926, in Sadlersville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Timothy Calvin Ligon and Melena (Laprade) Ligon.
She was a homemaker, and also was retired from Chrysler Corp. Elizabeth was a member of Fountain of Life Worship Center in Kokomo; she also enjoyed being around children, sewing, watching television and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include three sons, William H. Terry III, of Peoria, Illinois, Gregory J. (Marieor) Terry, and Randall E. (Cynthia) Terry, of Palmetto, Florida; three daughters, Thelma M. Armstrong, of Kokomo, Claudette (Scott) Manners, of Indianapolis, and Latia Jones, of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Ernestine Trammell, of Kokomo; 16 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at Fountain of Life Worship Center, 611 E. Jackson St., Kokomo. Bishop Charles E. Glenn will officiate. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church. Ms. Terry, as I always referred to her was a rock. I spent many of days in her home with her 3 boys. She will always be a Mother in my life.
