Charlotte Smith, 62, Kokomo, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug, 29, 2018, at North Woods Village. She was born July 1, 1956, in Lebanon to the late Herman Garrett and Charlene (Crownover) Greer.

Charlotte was an avid reader of books and poetry. She enjoyed music and traveling. Charlotte loved her family, and her children and grandchildren were her life.

Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Lynn Garrett and Vilora Leigh Garrett; three grandchildren, Geoffrey Lee Garrett, Athena Grace Lynch, and Ethan Thomas Benson Young; four brothers, Gerald Garrett, Charles Garrett, Stephen (Melissa) Garrett, and Keith (Angela) Garrett; two sisters, Milli (Todd) Bassett and Cathy (Bennie) Terry; bonus sister, Rosetta Garrett; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

There will be a celebration of life for Charlotte from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at 1929 S. Union, Kokomo. Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center assisted the family in making funeral arrangements.
