Rossville, IN - Alberta "Jean" Wilkin, 89, of Rossville, after a short battle with cancer, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Creasy Springs Health Campus.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1936, in Galveston, to Harry and Irene (Ronk) Hosier. She married Robert Wilkin on Dec. 31, 1977. He preceded her in passing May 22, 2025.

Jean attended Rossville High School and worked for Peter Paul Confections for 22 years, and then the Clinton County Court House for 13 years until her retirement. She was a member of Rossville Bible Fellowship. Jean lived primarily in Frankfort and Rossville, where she volunteered at area nursing homes. She also volunteered at the homeless shelter in Florida, where she and her husband enjoyed wintering for over 20 years. Jean enjoyed playing cards and dominos. Above all she loved her family dearly, and enjoyed spending time and making memories with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her son, B. Dale (Debbie) Luper; stepson, Kent Allen Wilkin; siblings, Linda Carden, Connie (Bob) Robey; grandchildren, Sarah (Cory) Marsh and David Rollin (Breanna) Luper III; great-grandchildren, David Rollin Luper IV, Wakely EmmaClara Marsh, Kolben JM Luper, Memphis Lee Marsh; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband of 46 years, Jean was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Rollin Luper Jr.; siblings, twin sister Roberta Jane Baily Brown, Anna Warner, Juanita McHale, Barbara Gearheart, Donna Baxter, Carolyn Kratzer, Marjorie Timmons, Charles Hosier, Harry Hosier Jr., Donnie Hosier, Ronnie Hosier and Paul Hosier; and the father of her children, David Rollin Luper Sr.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville. Pastor Chris Albin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean's honor to Rossville Bible Fellowship, Kokomo Rescue Mission or Gideon Bibles.
