Steven J. Chism, 65, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:08 a.m. Monday July 17, 2017, at Community Howard Regional, Kokomo. Born Aug. 2, 1951, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Walter Chism and Betty (Smith) Chism. On Dec. 12, 1996, in Kokomo, he married Beverly Kay (Hendrix). She preceded him in death on July 9, 2017. He was employed with Chrysler for 30 years, retiring Dec. 31, 2008. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #685 and loved watching trains and riding his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla Bruss and John Schmitt, Peru, and Amber (Mike) Vasily, Kokomo; one step-daughter, Angela Osborne, Kokomo; one brother, Kevin Chism; two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Jesse) Sisk and Janet (Jim) Myers, both of Kokomo; his first wife Teena Wilburn, Kokomo. There are also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Beverly Kay Chism.
