Steven Patrick Bailey, 54, Kokomo, passed away at 7:51 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo. He was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Kokomo to the late Charles Junior and June (Kasey) Bailey.
Steven was previously employed with Southside Lumber for nine years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Colts and the Chicago Cubs. Steven also enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He was known as a kind, gentle, and loving soul and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Steven was a wonderful family man.
Surviving are his daughter, Kayla (Patrick) Diaz; son, Steven Bailey; stepdaughter, Angie (Jon) Cook; 10 grandchildren, Courtney Baker, Skyler Cook, Brady Diaz, Isabella Bailey, Elijah Diaz, Nicholas Diaz, Jaxon Diaz, Nivek Justice, Nyia Justice and Niam Justice; brother, Joe (Joanna) Bailey; sister, Julie (Steve) Schreiber; two aunts, Faye Kasey and Sherry (Steve) Ellis; several nieces and nephews; and very close friend who was like a son, Kevin (Hailey) Justice.
A celebration of life will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2000 W. Jefferson St., with Pastor Jerry Van Auken officiating.
