Sharon Kay Greis, 77, Peru, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Kokomo, to John Anderson and Nettie Irene (Silvers) Warner. On Nov. 2, 1963, she married Walter "Wally" A. Greis, in Kokomo, and he survives.
Sharon enjoyed working outside in her garden and cherished spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Don (Kim) Hendrix, Peru, Ronald René Hendrix, Oklahoma, Jimmy Hendrix, Oklahoma, Starlet JoAnn Mackey, Sheridan, Warren "Butch" Greis, Boca Raton, Florida, Joseph "Joe" (Tina) Greis, Peru, Chad (Christie) Greis, Peru, and Curtis Greis, Peru; sisters, Dixie Sue Warner, Fort Wayne, and Joy Grazioso, Peru; half-brothers, Dale Warner, Jerome, and Bill Anderson, Indiana; and many special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonnie Moore; brother, Rene Warner; and half-brothers, David and John Warner.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Dave Welsh officiating. Cremation will follow services. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
