Sharon Joyce Goddard, 79, Kokomo, passed away Sept. 28, 2017. She was born Feb. 20, 1938, in Remington, to Robert and Lenora (Fortner) Young.
Sharon married Noel Goddard and had three wonderful children. She worked for more than 33 years at Delco, retiring in the late 1990s. Sharon was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church as well as the Kokomo Senior Center at Foster Park and K.O.F.F. She enjoyed playing BINGO, collecting antiques and playing card games with her family. Sharon loved spending time with her companion, Louis.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her baby brother, Jimmy, and her brother, Robert Young.
She is survived by ex-husband, Noel Goddard; companion, Louis Stout; brother, Pete; sisters, Beverly Vanderbeck and Barb (John) Ratcliff; sons, Jason and Neil Goddard; daughter, Nova Hendrickson; grandson, Brandon (Heather) Brittain; granddaughter, Darla Bolander; great-grandchildren, Khloe, Bella, Gage and M.J.; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Steve Allen, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with burial to follow.
