Sandra Vonelle Griffin, 78, passed away at 1 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at her residence. She was born to the late Everett and Martha (Goff) Hodson on Jan. 17, 1939, in Boone County at her home. Sandra and her late husband, Larry, married June 27, 1956, in Atlanta, Indiana.
Sandra was employed with Delco Electronics, retiring after more than 30 years, and was a member of the Local 292. Sandra enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and making dolls. She loved Florida, and especially loved her grandkids and great-grandbabies.
Sandra is survived by her sons, Larry Griffin (Lisa) and Jeff Griffin and his companion Hope Raber; daughters, Debbie Zook (Bill) and Pam Onyett (Jeff); brother, John Hodson; sisters, Margaret Lytle and Sue Fecher; grandchildren, Sara Savoy (Nick), Kerri Griffin, Christy Fogg (Kyle), Kevin Griffin (Christina), Lori Taylor (Brad), Jill Blume (Brian) and Alex Onyett (Amy); great-grandchildren, Alexis, Avery, Aiden, Noah, Kami and baby boy Able Taylor is on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Edward; brothers, Calvin and Larry K. Hodson; sister, Phyllis Waugh; and grandson, Kyle Onyett.
Funeral services for Sandra will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the First Church of Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St. in Kokomo with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Prior to the service, visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
