Robert "Bob" E. Wray, 57, Greentown, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Waterford Place, Kokomo. He was born Oct. 20, 1959, in Kokomo, the son Shirl Doyle and Stella Marie (Morris) Wray.
Bob was an engineer at General Motors in Kokomo, retiring after 30 years of service. Bob graduated from Eastern High School in 1978 and went on to attend Purdue University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in finance in 1984. He then obtained his master's degree from GMI in manufacturing management.
In his high school and college years, he had played baseball, serving as the catcher. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed bicycling with a group and snow skiing and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his brother, George Scott Wray; sister-in-law, Beth Wray; nephew, George Carl Wray; nephew, Daniel B. Wray; niece, Allison I. Wray, all of Fort Wayne; and loving companion, Libby Fitch.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, with Pastor Gary Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown.
