Richard F. Kingery, 85, Frankfort, passed away at 11:07 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo. Richard was born Oct. 27, 1931, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Orville S. and Cretie M. Kingery. His marriage to Hazel M. Harness, who survives, was on Dec. 17, 1966.
He attended Rock Bridge Country School in Kentucky. Richard founded Kingery & Sons Construction in 1965 and operated the business until he retired in 1997, at which time his son, Richard, took over control of the business that still operates today. He was a lifelong brick mason and a 65-year member of Brick Layers and Allied Craftworkers Local 4 Chapter 11. He was a member of Burlington Faith Church of Christ, a member of the Russiaville Masonic Lodge F & AM 82, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Temple of Indianapolis, and Frankfort Moose.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Kingery; two sons, Richard K. Kingery (companion Krista Morris), Frankfort, Gary A. Kingery (Joanna), Brownsburg; a daughter, Tina S. Kimmel (Scott), Frankfort; a brother, Russel Kingery (Sandy), Tipton; a sister, Dorothy (Barlow) Poindexter, Noblesville; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny L. Kingery; three brothers; and four sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Faith Church of Christ, 1701 S. Michigan St., Burlington, with Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main St., Russiaville.
