Ramona M. Day, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Friday March 3, 2017 at her residence. Born Feb. 10, 1939 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Harold McKee and Sarah (Budd) McKee. On March 17, 1957 in Kokomo, she married Raymond Marvin Day. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2016. She was a homemaker and a babysitter of more than 40 children over the years. She enjoyed riding her bike, walking and taking care of babies. She was also a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Johnny (Elsa) McKee, Fishers; one daughter, Deborah Day, Kokomo; three brothers, Tim (Patty) McKee, Rich Valley, Fred (Mary) McKee and Steve (Kay) McKee, both of Kokomo; one sister, Mary (Steve) McGowen, Frankfort; two grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Blankenberger and Matthew (Ashby) Englert; six great-grandchildren, Evan, Audrey, Tyler, Ethan, Braylen and Raegan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one daughter, Patricia Day Englert on Dec. 14, 1994.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Pastor David Osborne will officiate. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
