Pansy C. Johnson, 85, Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 4:46 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, in the ER of Logansport Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1932 in Ewing, Virginia to Elisha and Mary (Kelly) Wilson. Pansy married Odra G. Johnson on Aug. 17, 1946, and he joined the Lord on Aug. 21, 2003.
At the age of 15, Pansy confessed her love for Christ. Pansy was a member of the Hillside Missionary Baptist Church and loved going to Bible study.
Survivors include daughter, Alice England, Fort Wayne; daughter in-law, Betty Johnson, Logansport; one sister, Jane (Denny) England, Galveston; six grandchildren, Todd (Karen) Johnson, Tamatha (Steven) Huston, Tony (Rene) Johnson, Samatha (Shane) Myers, Emily (Doug) Rodenberg and Jesse Rice; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha and Mary Wilson; husband, Odra G. Johnson; two sons, Dennis Clay Johnson, Ronald O. Johnson; sister, Sylvia Payne; and brothers, Curtis Wilson and Sewell Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan St. Burlington, with the Rev. Clifford Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
