Pamela Jean (Martin) Richardson, 73, Kokomo, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at her home. She was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of Gilbert L. and Kathleen Elizabeth (Miller) Martin. On July 13, 1963, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, she married James Donald Richardson and he survives.
Pamela was a graduate of Stow High School in Stow, Ohio, and had attended Kent State University. She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Pamela was an avid Bridge player, earning the rank of Life Master with the American Contract Bridge League. She was an accomplished knitter and also enjoyed sewing. She also loved watching IU basketball and men and women's professional tennis.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Don Richardson, Kokomo; daughter, Robyn Chesser, Kokomo; grandchildren, Christian Chesser and Joseph Chesser, both of Kokomo; sisters, Elizabeth (Barry) Smith, Canton, Ohio, and Karen (Joseph) Vanek, Spring Hill, Florida; along with several nieces and nephews.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Pamela will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 705 Southway Blvd. East, Kokomo, with Pastors William Allison and Barry Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
