Marilyn Miller, 74, Tipton, passed away at 2:21 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 12, 1942, in Kokomo, the daughter of Thomas Kane and Eva Elizabeth (Alley) Harper. She was previously married to Glen Miller, the father of her children, for 15 years.
Marilyn was a 1960 graduate of Sharpsville High School. She was a former owner of Dunkin Donuts and also enjoyed working helping others by providing in-home heath care.
Marilyn was an excellent quilter. She made it a point to make a quilt for just about everyone in the family, until the very end. She was also an avid collector of bells. She counted them and at one point had a little over 2000. She was a former member of Cornerstone Christian Center. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Tracy (Glenn) Salyer, Peru, Dale (Christi) Miller, Kokomo, and Donna (Terry) Koontz, Kokomo; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Combs, Stephanie (John) Maxwell, Ashley (Andy) Phillips, Cody Salyer, Alicia (Scott) Larson, Jennifer (Rob) Deeds, Daniel (Rebecca) Miller, Kristina (Brandon) Goodman, Jeffrey (Kristen) Miller, Chelsea Miller (significant other, Robert Vanness), Christopher (Brittney) Miller, Amanda Holloway, Glen Scott Miller, Samantha Thompson-Conk; former husband of 15 years & friend, Glen Miller; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Brian Harper and David Harper; and sister, Janice Harper.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffrey Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
