Lloyd Dillman, 88, a resident of Eagle River, Wisconsin, since 1986, formerly of Center, Indiana, died Monday, May 1, 2017, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He was born Oct. 29, 1928, in Indiana to parents Ward and Gladys Dillman. Lloyd worked as the union steward for the Chrysler Corp. for almost 40 years before retiring to the Northwoods. He was a member of Center Bible Church in Center, Indiana.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bird hunting. He was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats. Lloyd volunteered at the Kalmar Center with SERVE. He served in the U.S. Army.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark William Dillman; brother, Warren; brothers-in-law, Larry Shields, Raymond Shirar; sisters-in-law, Norma Dillman and Marilyn Parton.
He was survived by his wife of 65 years, Ramona Dillman, Eagle River, Wisconsin; children, Eric (Judi) Dillman, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Jeaninne (Jack) Dillon, Plainfield, Indiana; brothers-in-law, Carl "Butch" (Donna) Shirar, Kokomo, Indiana, Frank (Arlis) Shirar, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Alice Shields, Kokomo, Indiana, Polly Shirar, Frankfort; and numerous other family and friends.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Burlington Cemetery in Burlington, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated by the family. Stout & Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, Burlington, Indiana, is assisting with local arrangements.
