Lillian E. "Nikki" Hardy, 60, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Born in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Roland H. and Australia S. (Kirby) Fort.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, where she was involved in various ministries over the years. She received her formal education in the Kokomo community school system. After graduating, she worked for Kokomo Community Day Care, the Microchips Day Care and Subaru Automotive, Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karla (Fort) Gardner; and brother, Shawn Fort.
She is survived by son, Lamont Hardy, San Diego, California; daughter, Carrie Hardy, Kokomo; brothers, Larry and Karl Fort, both of Kokomo, Dana (Tammy) Fort, Greenwood, and Andre Fort, Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Sarita (Moses) Mickens, Louisville, Kentucky, and Rolanda (Larry) Smith, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Caiden and Khai; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, with calling from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Bluitt and Son Funeral Home. www.bluittandson.com.
