Lawrence's Story

Lawrence "Larry" Glenn Cross, 75, went home to be with the Lord at 5:02 p.m. March 12, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo. He was born July 9, 1941, in Kokomo.
Larry served his Lord in many ministries, three nursing home, three prisons, Howard County Jail, Kokomo Rescue Mission and was worship leader for years and deacon, taught Bible studies with his wife in church and cell groups. He sang with many gospel groups: "The Cross Family" (Larry and Page and his five children), "In His Name" (Larry, Page, Glenn and Ruth Collins), "Forgiven" (Larry, Page, Brad Swain and the late Tandy Johnson, another group (Sondra Koon, Larry and Page), "Restoration" (Larry, Kathy and Page) and with many others.
He was an entrepreneur and had many businesses: Kokomo Bargain Center, Off-Price World, CIC Realtor, Cross Brothers, KBC Corp., Off-Priced Liquidators, General Liquidators, CIC Co. and others. He was driven, kind, gentle, encouraging and wise. He loved people. He was a wonderful husband, incredible father, grandfather and brother. He was self-sacrificing and so funny. Larry had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Page Ann Cross; five children, Larry Kent, Kathy Cross Gibson, Aaron Cross, Eric Cross and Kate, Robert "Bobby" and Lisa Cross Richardson; sister, Darlene and Tom Buffin. Larry has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews, as well as surrogate children whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence W. and Katherine Cross; and brother, Robert Cross.
The memorial service will be at Larry's church, In His Image, 2940 E. 50 North. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8, with the service to follow at 4 p.m. Pastor Brad Swain and the Rev. Gene Frazier will officiate.
Messages of condolence may be left to Page Cross's Facebook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Larry's memory for remaining expenses, in care of In His Image Church.
