Kimberly Diane Mooney, 50, of Kokomo, passed away at 6:21 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 31, 1966, in Kokomo, the daughter of Robert Bell and Katherine (Crousore) Bell. She was a 1984 graduate of Kokomo High School. Following high school, she received a degree in cosmetology at Wright's Beauty School. On June 20, 1987, in Kokomo, she married Michael Sean Mooney, and he survives. She was the transportation supervisor for the City of Kokomo for the last 10 years. She was a member of New Life Church of Kokomo for over 20 years. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, camping, embroidering, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of over 30 years, Michael S. Mooney, Kokomo; her parents, Robert and Katherine Bell, Russiaville; one son, Benjamin M. Mooney, Kokomo; two daughters, Katherine C. (TJ) Holliday, San Antonio, Texas, Bethany R. (Zachary) Jamison, Anderson; three brothers, Terry (Patti) Bell, Kokomo, Steven (Tina) Bell, LaPorte, Phillip (Debbie) Bell, Kokomo; and one sister, Sherri Bell, Russiaville. There are also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017, at New Life Church, 1803 E. Vaile Ave., Kokomo. Pastor Randy Blankenship will officiate. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church; also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be directed to New Life Church - Impact Girls, or to the American Cancer Society.
