Kenneth E.'s Story
Kenneth E. "Mouse Man" Gregory, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017. A native of Kokomo, he was the son of Glover and Gregory.
After receiving his formal education in the Kokomo Public School system, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He married the former Bertha L. Whitfield.
Giving his life to Christ, he was a member of Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he served as trustee emeritus. He was employed at Chrysler Corp. as an inspector and retired after 30 years of service. His many memberships included life member of N.A.A.C.P., American Legion Post 177, I.B.P.O.E of W Lodge 429 and the Keystone Lodge 40.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bertha L. Whitfield-Gregory, Kokomo; sons, Antonio, Lamar and Belo Gregory, both of Kokomo, and Bruce Gregory, San Diego, California; daughters, Carol, Kathryn and Glinda Gregory, both of Kokomo; brother, Thomas Gregory, Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Fannie Polk, Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church, with calling from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery.
