Kathleen A. King, 91, Tipton, died at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born Nov. 3, 1925 in Bono, Arkansas, to William J. and Sophe (Craig) Barnes.
Kathleen had worked at Delco Radio in assembly, was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and loved gardening and animals.
She is survived by her son, Jimmie W. King, Tipton; grandchildren, Karen Kennedy (David), Angie Heinzman (Corey) and Nikki Scott (Mike); two great-grandchildren, Brody Heinzman and Leah Kennedy; and a special nephew, Paul Hicks.
Kathleen was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lauderbaugh; a daughter-in-law, Cher King; and siblings, Mildred "Johnnie" Culbertson, Millie Pollack, Delphia Cook, Delma Thompson and Elmer Barnes.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, with Pastor Kurt Gremel presiding. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
