Johnny Junior Graham, 92, Kokomo, passed away at 5:09 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at his residence. Born May 20, 1925, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Jesse Graham and Eva (Smith) Graham. On April 3, 1941, in Carroll County, he married Waneta Leann (Britton), and she survives.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was employed with Chrysler Corp. for over 30 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of U.A.W. Local 685; enjoyed hunting, fishing, yardwork, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his parrot, "Nibbles."
Survivors include his wife, Waneta Leann Graham, Kokomo. There are also two sons, five daughters, one brother, 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Kerry Williams will officiate. Burial with military rites by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will follow at Sunset Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
