Jane's Story

Jane A. "Janie" Eades, 65, Sharpsville, passed away at 2:36 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born Aug. 13, 1951, in Howard County, to Donald Thompson and Dorothy (Kennedy) Thompson. On Oct. 3, 1993, in Kokomo, she married Thomas M. Eades, and he survives.
She graduated from Western High School in 1969. She loved working for Park 100 Foods in Tipton as an office receptionist for several years. Janie enjoyed traveling on cruises with her husband, motorcycle rides, shopping and spending time with family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Deanna and husband Roy Rich, Camden; son, Allen Brown, Kokomo; stepson, Corey and wife Cindy Eades, New London; stepdaughter, Tamera Brown, Georgia; sister, Carolyn Wimmer, Russiaville; brother, Jon and wife Joy Thompson, Kokomo; brother, Chris Thompson, St. Augustine, Florida; mother-in-law, Bernita J. Eades, Kokomo; grandchildren, Chellsie Brown, Thai-Anthony and wife Ashlea Crume, Levi Crume, Samantha and husband Cody Maxwell, Aaron Rich, Alexcia Brown, Dalton Denney, Devin Plain, Christopher Eades, Dakota Eades and Nicholas Brown; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Layla and Phillip Castillo and Payton and Khai Crume; and sisters-in-law, Shirley and husband Mike Garro, Carol and husband Gary Mckibben and Sharon Summers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Max, Kevin and Mike Thompson; sister, Janice Surber; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Chaplain Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
