Helen Louise Greene, 91, Kokomo, passed away at 10:06 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born May 31, 1925 in Shirley to the late Hobert and Ruth (Johnson) Hudson. She married Donald J. Greene and he preceded her in death in March 28, 1989.
Helen graduated from Greentown High School in 1943. She attended Ivy Tech and Glendale Community College in Arizona. She was a bookkeeper for Fouts Tire and Weber Tire in Phoenix for many years. Helen was a member of First Christian Church for 67 years and taught Women's Bible Study group for many years.
Helen is survived by daughter, Linda (Dan) Rayl, Kokomo; son, Michael (Kathleen) Greene, Phoenix; grandchildren, Shawn Rayl, Jason Greene, Nathan Greene and Heidi Greene; ten great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Lou Julius, Ft. Myers, Florida .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Gary Greene; three brothers, Donald Hudson, Guy Landon Hudson and Robert Hudson; and sister, Wynema Crites.
Funeral services for Helen will be held at noon Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., officiated by Pastor Will Jewsbury and Pastor Steve Eckert. The family will have a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden.
