Harroll "Wayne" Burnette, 71, Kokomo, passed away at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown. He was born May 6, 1946, in Luttrell, Tennessee, to Roy and Genevia (Hunter) Burnette.
Wayne retired from Continental Steel Corp. and also worked for the Kokomo Sanitary Pottery Division. He enjoyed horses and 1958 Chevys.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy L. Casey, Kokomo; son, Tony (Elizabeth) Burnette, North Manchester; three grandchildren, Keisha Shea, Nicholas Casey and Heather Ferrell; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph Bragg, Madison Edwards, Samantha Edwards, Dalton Casey, Ariel Burnette, Luke Headrick, Zack Ferrell and one great-granddaughter due in September; brothers, Johnny Burnette, Kokomo, June Burnette, Greentown, twin brother, Carroll "Gene" (Patricia) Burnette, Kempton, and Bill "Wig" (Janice) Burnette, West Middleton; sister, Sheila (Bob) Dunn, Kokomo; mother of his children, Garnet Mardelle Jarrett; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Brenda Williams.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Troy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery.
