Harrison "Bub" Owen, 61, Walton, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at St.Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born Nov. 9, 1955 to Harrison E. and Reina M. (Name) Owen. He married Teresa Fisher on Oct. 15, 1977 in Galveston, and she survives.
Bub worked in Maintenance for Armour Eckrich in Peru for several years he also farmed and worked construction. He was a member of the Young America Volunteer Fire Department, the Galveston American Legion and the Cass County Coon Hunters. Bub enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, his horses and was a practical joker.
Surviving family include his wife, Teresa Owen, Walton; daughter, Tracey (David) Bogue, Galveston; and granddaughter, Brooke Bronson and boyfriend Kyle of Kokomo. Bub is also survived by his sister, Edith "Sis" Lock, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half-brother, Billy Name.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Chaplin Richard Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
