A golden heart stopped beating and went to be with the Lord when Gloria "Jeanie" (Lane) Guy passed away at 5:16 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born July 17, 1948, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Raymond and Dossie (Cooper) Lane. On Dec. 5, 1968, she married Charles W. Guy, and he survives.
Gloria was a good-hearted Tennessee woman who loved her family without end. She worked at General Motors for 33 years before retiring and was a member of UAW Local 292. She enjoyed going to garage sales and cherished her grandbabies. She attended Bethel Tabernacle Church of God in Kokomo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jennifer Guy and Chris (Lisa) Guy; grandchildren, Jarred Evans, Dustin Evans, Quinn Schlabach, Alex Guy, Jacob Guy, Elizabeth Guy, Brooke (John) Radtke and Brittany Guy; great-grandchildren, Amslee Marley, Jocelyn Radtke and Allysa Radtke; siblings, Shirley (Bill) Sears, John (Rita) Lane, Judy Burkhard, Kenny (Konny) Lane and Vicki (Norman) Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Brad Guy.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Bethel Tabernacle Church of God, 661 W. 400 South, with Pastor Steve Branstutter officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
