George Edward Larson, 86, O'Fallon, Illinois, born Thursday, Jan. 8, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, Illinois.
George was an electronics technician at McDonnell Douglas for 35 years. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. George loved to fish and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his four children, David (Kaethe) Larson, Jasper, Indiana, Deborah (Tom Flinn) Larson, Belleville, Illinois, Julia Richmond, Makanda, Illinois, and Janice (Scott) Collins, Upland, California; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and 11 loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leanna May, nee Ruby, Larson; father, Oscar Larson; mother, Gertrude, nee Marlett, Bryant; and brother, Charles Larson.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
