Fredrick Henry "Jim" Eaker, 83, Kokomo, passed into Jesus's loving arms at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Golden Living Center with his family by his side, including his devoted caretakers at Golden Living, whom he loved very much.
He was born Aug. 4, 1933, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to William and Rosie Eaker. Fred worked and retired from Continental Steel, where he was a die maker. He loved to fish and listen to bluegrass and gospel music.
He is survived by one brother, Charles (Carolyn) Eaker; three sons; one daughter; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Kista.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
The family would like to thank Golden Living and St. Vincent Hospice for all the loving care that he received. With special thanks to hospice volunteer John Maloly for love and friendship.
