Frances L.'s Story
Frances L. "Fran" Fisher, 71, Kokomo, passed away at 3:22 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born May 13, 1946, in Chicago to Emmett and Goldie (Peters) Nash. On Nov. 29, 1968, she married Larry R. Fisher, and he survives.
A devout homemaker, Fran loved painting, reading and ceramics. She and her husband supported and were involved with We Care for many years. Fran was also the newsletter editor for the Pioneer Auto Club for 14 years, as well as former pianist for North Kokomo Grace Brethren Church. Most of all, She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who cherished time spent with family.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Fisher; children, Joann (Gary Carroll) Main and Tammy (Dan) Hess; grandchildren, Jacob Main, Joshua Main, Jenna Main, Linden Hess and Donovin Hess; and sisters, Nina, Sharon, Chris, Denise, Carolee, Annie and Mary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vicky M. Fisher; son, Michael S. Fisher; and brother, Bill Baker.
Friends may visit with the family from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road. A graveside service will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating.
