Dorothy (Miller) Wilson, 94, Parish, Florida, formerly of Burlington, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Riviera Palms Care Facility in Palmetto, Florida. She was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Flora, the daughter of the late Claude & Bertha (Wiles) Miller. On Jan. 16, 1942, she married Ivan Max Wilson, who preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1992.
Dorothy was a 1940 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a member of First Brethren Church, and most recently attended Bayside Community Church in Bradenton, Florida. Dorothy was a homemaker who spent most of her married life in Burlington.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Carol E. (Jim) Johnson and Sherry L. (Fred) Michael, both of Parrish, Florida; five grandchildren, Gail (Sam) Moffitt, Camden, Jeff (Becky) Johnson, Delphi, Ann (Rick) Miller, Lawrenceburg, Clint Michael, Sarasota, Florida, and Craig Michael, Parrish, Florida; along with seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Miller, Kokomo; sisters, Mary Beckner, Kokomo, and Shirley Graham, Kokomo.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Jim (Peggy) Miller, Leroy Miller, Billy Jo Miller and Glen (Phyllis) Miller; and sister, Doris Miller, and Bonnie Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan St., Burlington. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
