Dorothy Helen Harman, 96, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away at her residence Saturday, June 3, 2017. She was born Aug. 1, 1920, in Kokomo, to Earl and Helen (Hale) Taylor. On Dec. 20, 1963, she married Walter Harman, and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a very strong and intelligent woman. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was among the most generous people you could ever meet. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Susan (Bill) Vogel, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Tonya (Tom) Perrin, Indianapolis, Stephanie (Doug) Bliss, Albion, California, and Rhonda (Jim) Hall, Wildwood, Florida; grandchildren, Debra (Bruce) Bridges, Robert (Loraine) Vogel, John (Niki) Vogel, James (Amy Hiett) Vogel, and seven other grandchildren; great-grandson, Connor Bridges; great-granddaughter, Abby Bridges; eight additional great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Martha Taylor, Patsy (George) McMahon, Dodie Taylor and Theresa (Bud) Hobson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother who raised her, Pauline Kain Taylor; brothers, Charles "Bunky" Taylor, Michael Taylor, Robert "Bobby" Taylor, Martin "Snuffy" Taylor and Dennis Taylor; and sisters, Nancy Richeson, Mary Helen Stout and Bridget Taylor.
