Donald E. Aldridge Sr., 67, Kokomo, passed away at 8:07 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at Community Howard Regional Health System. He was born Feb. 18, 1950, in Kokomo, to Hershel and Jennie (Pratt) Aldridge. On Feb. 22, 1992, he married Linda L. Morris, and she survives.
In addition to his wife of 25 years, he is survived by his children, Becky (Dan) Rushing, Kokomo, Troy (Ocean) Sharp, Kokomo, Tim (Haley) Aldridge, Kokomo, Donald (Jennifer) Aldridge Jr., Kokomo, Shirley Thompson, Rossville, Debbie Aldridge, Indianapolis, and Sam (Sara) Aldridge, Kokomo; grandchildren, Mindy Amos, Anthony (Kara) Jewell, Ciara Sharp, Mariah Sharp, Ethan Sharp, Samantha Sharp, Cody Sharp, Romeo Aldridge, Quinn Thompson, Marise Duchateau, Ashley Meshach, James Vann, Chris Aldridge, Jason Aldridge, Conner Aldridge, Emma Lee Aldridge, Cyrus Aldridge, Cara Aldridge, Haylie Amos and Tyler Amos; great-grandson, Braytyn Jewell; brothers and sisters, Jennie (William) Ferguson, Herbert Wayne Aldridge, Katie (William) Suttles, Melvin (Kathy) Aldridge, Tommy Aldridge and Debbie (Kenny) Hollaway; and his beloved dog, Zeke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David L. Sharp Jr.; brother, Earl Aldridge; and sister, Barbara Aldridge.
The funeral service will be noon Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating. Friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
