Dennis W. Osborne, 69, Kokomo, passed away at 11:22 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. Dennis was born Dec. 9, 1947, in Kokomo to Ivan Osborne and Bernice L. (Elliott) Pierce.
He retired from Delco Electronics with 30 years of service. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1966 and served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969 in the Tank Corps in Germany. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Surviving family include his brother, Thomas L. (Susie) Gillis, Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Deborah K. Councill, Kokomo, Carol A. Osborne, Carmi, Illinois, and Norma J. Woodward, Rochester. He was a much loved uncle to his nephews, Daniel K. Collins, James M. Collins, and nieces, Ashly R. Collins, Angie (David) Simmons and Heidi Sanchez. He was so very much loved by all of his great-nieces and great-nephews and all of his dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Charles and Bernice Pierce; his father, Ivan Osborne; and sisters, Diane M. Osborne and Wanda L. Sutton.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with the Rev. Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kokomo. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
