Danny Ray Jackson, 39, Kokomo, passed away at 9:24 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Born Aug. 22, 1977, in Kokomo, he is the son of Pamela (Wade) Jackson and the late Sherman Jackson.
He was a 1995 graduate of Northwestern High School. He worked in maintenance at many area apartment complexes. He loved fishing, watching television, going to family events, hanging out with his mom, and above all, he loved his children.
Survivors include his mother Pamela Jackson, Kokomo; two sons, Danny Jackson Jr. and Daylin Jackson, both of Kokomo; one daughter Kaylee Jackson, Kokomo; eleven brothers, David Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Sherman Joe Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson, DeMon Varnado, Billy Ritter, Robert James, Jesse Philapy and Jimmy Bell, all of Kokomo, DeShoun Everhart, Warsaw, and Chad Hamblin, West Middleton; three sisters Carolyn Sue Hlavinka of Texas, and Lena Bowser and Remanda Jackson-Payne, both of Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by his father; also by one brother, Frank Jackson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 8, 2017, at Jesus Apostolic Faith Church, 408 E. Jackson St., Galveston. Pastor Nettie Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in North Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
